How to meet people in person is more important than ever before. The Talk2MorePeople Book teaches people how to meet people, face-to-face.
Just like thousands of business owners around the world, my in-person facilitation practise took a hit due to COVID-19. But this allowed me to take some time off this summer to complete the editing of the Talk2MorePeople book. This is a book project that began in 2011 when I was doing presentations and had been writing on the subject of "Unexpected Connections."
The Talk2MorePeople concept began as a 30-day challenge in 2016 to meet a new stranger a day for a month. I had been dealing with depression and wanted something to spice up my life again. I was not disappointed! My business coach at the time told me,
"Tony, if you really want to make an impact with this, don't do it just for a month. Meet a new stranger every day for a year."
And that's what I did.
The Talk2MorePeople book teaches what I learned on that journey of intentionally having met over 550 strangers in one year. It also includes stories from more than 15 contributors.
By supporting this campaign, not only will you help broaden my reach for the official launch in the new year, but you will also be helping create more human connection. The funds will be used to pay for the editing of the book and for project management and the first print run.
The publication date is Thursday, January 21st, 2021. Keep the date open if you'd like to be a part of the celebration.
Sincerely,
Tony Esteves

I have been a little quiet on the crowdfunding campaign trail as of late because I received my completed, copy-edited manuscript back from my editor, Erin.
This turned out to be quite an enjoyable distraction. I spent 46 hours over the past two weeks further refining the changes, words and details within my (already finished) book. I was happy to invest that time, because as our world is changing so quickly, so were some of the concepts that I had written about. And I really want to this to be an up-to-date handbook for people to use now.
So after more than 7792 comments and changes, the book is now back in Erin's very capable hands for the final clean up, and I'll transition into the production stage. How very exciting! Thank you for the support.
I wish you a superb Wednesday.

Yesterday was Day 4 of this crowdfunding campaign. Due to some very generous boosts in the early days, it has now been %20 funded by crossing the $3000 mark. On this Thanksgiving weekend, I am sincerely grateful for the 19 people who have made contributions thus far to help me get this work out into the world. The campaign will go on for 26 more days. Let's see what we can achieve in that time.

Yesterday was a mammoth day. One of the sections in the book is about how you can use HELP to start an interaction with someone. I also touch on the importance of being able to receive help. There was a great deal of mental and emotional build-up in launching this campaign because I'd have to walk my talk. I had to ask for help.
And amazingly, people like you are helping. Thank you! So after Day 1, the campaign is over $2000 boosted and I am so grateful. The image is of me when I was walking around Calgary in my Mirror Suit giving out Talk2MorePeople stickers in the celebration that I'd launched. It is a screenshot from my @Talk2MorePeople Instagram story which I'll create from time to time during this month. Tomorrow I'll upload the crowdfunding video to Facebook. Let's see if it gains some traction...

I promise to make it worth your while.

It is a little after midnight on this Wednesday morning, October 7th and I'm rather excited. I was approved to run an ATB BoostR campaign over 18 months ago - back when I thought I was just about finished my book! Well, now I am finished (aside from final tweaks with my amazing editor, and proofreading and layout, and design, and deciding on the title etc...)
Well, now it's really CLOSE to being finished and will be printed early in the new year, and that has me very excited. Not only to complete a big project but because I know that the material in this book will help people build their experience of human connection.
Thank you for supporting this campaign. It is my intention for this month to be a pile of fun for anyone who comes along for the ride.
And you are invited to a LIVE interview TODAY. Join us at noon (MST) on Facebook Live if you are available as I will be a guest on "Conversations with Dune and Friends" There will be juggling, FYI.
