I came into the social media space excited and ready to serve. But in just a few weeks I found how time-consuming it is and how much I have to learn to sell on social media successfully. To be frank, it is overwhelming. I make custom gift baskets, and I post on social media, hoping that someone will see them and order. I once had a website for it, but it generated no traffic. I then invested my time and money to learn event planning, copywriting, mindset, relationship building and, later, became a certified digital marketing professional, where I learned much more. 

While I was developing myself to sell my products and services online effectively, I discovered that many business owners do not have either the time, money, or both to do the same. Social selling is tasking and quite challenging, especially for the home-based business owners working hard to bring extra income home. Even tougher if your business is new or you don’t have so much social following and network. 

 I noticed the difficulties of acquiring customers in the online space by home-based business owners, especially the lack of trust, I decided to help out by developing a platform where all they need to do is list their products and services. The platform takes care of the marketing for them, saving them time and money and, most importantly, builds trust with potential customers. Trust remains a big challenge for home-based business owners posting on social media. This we take care of on our event planning platform as businesses are verified.

The businesses listed on Occaplex marketplace increase their online visibility and sales by being featured on the event planning center where buying customers planning events connect with them to plan their various events.

The reported estimated Occaplex site daily visitors for 2019 and 2020 were 1,020 and 3,309 respectively. And from over 5 countries.  Our forecasted daily site visitors for the first quarter of 2022 is 10,000. This will be accomplished with various marketing strategies we have lined up for 2021. In March our weekly live-streamed Business Showcase will be posted to our community blog and YouTube channel, we also have various events lined up for the year, like featuring on TV, to increase the visibility and sales of our featured businesses.

Our logistic app will also save time for our featured businesses as their products will be picked from their homes and dropped off with their customers by our logistic team.

As a mother, I appreciate the extra family time, and I would love to see other business owners have spare time to relax and have fun with their families. We are also looking forward to seeing families and friends celebrate and appreciate their loved ones from anywhere in the world with ease.
