Campaign Description

Alberta is currently going through tough times due to COVID and its related impacts on job losses. Meanwhile, our friends in Fort McMurray is currently fighting a flood situation, due to spring ice jam in the Athabasca river. Combined with COVID related to job losses, people of Fort McMurray are under severe strain. EMC has initiated this fund raiser to support people of Alberta. Proceeds from this relief effort will go to the Calgary Food Bank, Edmonton Food Bank and Fort McMurray Food Bank. Funds raised through this relief effort will be equally divided between the food banks in Calgary, Edmonton and Fort McMurray. Donate generously and let us show our support for the people in need.

About EMC - Why we are doing this campaign

EMC is a non-profit film society that was formed in 2012. Over the year we have screened over 500 films in Alberta in the cities of Calgary, Edmonton and Fort McMurray. We had huge support from Albertans for all our screenings. Over the years, EMC has carried out numerous fund raising campaigns for disaster relief. This diaster relief has supported Albertans in big numbers and was hugely successful.

COVID-19 and the recent floods in Fort McMurray has affected Albertans in a big way and lots of our patrons are personally affected. EMC like to open this campaign for Albertans in Calgary, Edmonton and Fort McMurray through a fund raising relief program. This relief effort will support food bank in Calgary, Edmonton and Fort McMurray. 

EMC want to support  Albertans in this unprecented times.
