Campaign Description
High River Brewing Company
We never planned on producing this many beers to be canned, the Covid-19 pandemic forced us to switch up our thinking. With restaurants and bars closed, but liquor stores still able to be open, we decided to start canning more of our one-off beers. This worked very well for us, so we decided to give people the opportunity to pre-buy our new products before they are available anywhere else!
We built our brewery in High River with the intention of being High River’s brewery, not just a brewery in High River. We built the brewery to engage the local community to have a fun place to hang out and swap stories. The brewery itself is relatively small when compared to other craft breweries in Alberta, and basically non-existent when talking about the big guys. This was done on purpose with the intention of brewing beers that would appeal to both the locals and the big city. We want to be hyper-local; our primary audience is High River and the other small communities in Southern Alberta.
Our core beers are all very easy drinking examples of their styles, typically on the lower end of the style guidelines. Our seasonals generally follow the same thought process but we have been known to get a bit more adventurous with them. For example, some of our most recent beers include a blonde ale made with a fruit tea blend, a single malt and single hop beer called Juicy SMaSH where we showcased an Australian hop called Ella and a Pilsner that we decided to brew because we had some empty tanks while Covid was going on. So, while these beers aren’t a part of what we are offering in this program, they are some examples of what you might expect us to do!
