Campaign Description

Help Sweet {Jolie} open up a Retail Location to accommodate more Shoppers and more {Love} Project Initiatives.

Who We Are:

Sweet {Jolie} is a community-conscious Women’s Clothing Boutique based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. We sell internationally at www.sweetjolie.com and in a home-based boutique in central Edmonton. We sell everything from Tunics, Dresses, and Footwear to Hats, Purses, Jewelry and more!

Nicole started the company from a desire to empower herself and other women to rise from the many battles of womanhood to find self-confidence and strength to uplift others. All of our models are “real” women of all shapes and sizes. Many of our models are Sweet {Jolie} staff and some are our customers. We work very hard to ensure we are spreading a message of self-love and acceptance in everything we do – a rarity for a fashion business. Philanthropy and community is built into everything we do at Sweet {Jolie}. In 2017 we have committed to supporting a different non-profit organization each month, donating a portion of our proceeds to charities that support women and families.

What We Believe In:

Sweet {Jolie} is so much more than a clothing boutique. The clothing and accessories we provide our customer empowers and helps them stand taller with more confidence. The boutique has created an incredible community of women who support one another. We’re grateful for having a platform that allows us to raise awareness and money for non-profit organizations that align with our values, giving a voice to those who may feel like they don’t have one.

As a team, Sweet {Jolie} speaks openly about postpartum depression, anxiety, eating disorders and the many other struggles women are faced with. Our transparency has allowed us to connect with our community of women in a way that sets us apart from other boutiques.

We are REAL women empowering REAL women to love themselves.

What is the {love} project?

At Sweet {Jolie} we aim to help empower women to feel their very best everyday. It’s amazing how the right sweater can lift your shoulders a little higher, or the cutest boots can put a confident swagger in your step. Our regular day-to-day operations of outfitting women in the most flattering clothing and accessories to boost the self-image of thousands of women is truly rewarding – but we had ask – what else can we do to support the women in our community?

There are many non-profit organizations and charities that do amazing work and don't receive enough support or have as much awareness as they deserve. In an effort to help more than one, two or even three organizations we have decided to help a different group every month! With our amazing Sweet {Jolie} community behind us we know that the love spreads far!

On top of our monthly monetary donation to non-profit groups, our team has volunteered hands-on time with a handful of these organizations as well. This past December, our team gathered a group of local businesses and women to help wrap gifts for Wings of Providence, one of Edmonton's only second-stage women's shelters, providing support services for women and their children

We are proud to be a part of “World Wish Day 2017” with the Make-a-Wish Foundation this April. Our team will be handing out scarves to mothers at the Stollery Children’s Hospital with their children.

We feel very strongly that it’s important for our team to not only raise funds for these not-for-profit organizations, but to also partner to offer our time for their initiatives as well.

Why We Need a Retail Location:

As a team, we are proud to say that we are building a strong community of women working together to empower one another and make a difference for the next generation. As the owner of Sweet {Jolie}, Nicole has shown that a business can incorporate social responsibility into its business model and still be successful. We are leaders in changing the concept of what a fashion company can be. You can sell clothes without putting them on an unreachable body type. You can give back to your community and share your profits and still be profitable.

Our dedication to growing Sweet {Jolie} and using it as a platform to support others and their initiatives is what gets us ALL excited every morning. By opening up a retail storefront, we will be able to have more hours to accommodate more shoppers. We will also be able to host our look book events and giveback events on-location. This in turn will allow us to be able to donate even more money to so many deserving foundations.

We are starting our Boostr with a goal with $30,000 but we're ultimately hoping that the final stretch of the campaign will take us to over $40,000. This money will be used to initially fixture the space and allow for more purchasing for a greater space. It will also allow us to have money put aside for our {Love} Project Initiatives.
