Help us restore this 108-year-old Oppertshauser house and turn it into a living museum
For over 40 years the Heritage Agricultural Society has been bridging the gap between the past and present, between rural and urban communities, and helping people connect with arts, heritage, and culture. We offer unique spaces and programs in an effort to provide opportunities for community connections. We provide experiences and opportunities for education and conversations.
We are crowdfunding to have the ability to continue cultivating vital community connections and to have the opportunity to strengthen our programs, spaces, and especially our historic buildings like the Oppertshauser house.
The Oppertshauser house is a powerful, tangible connection to our past. It is an important venue to link young generations with the founding one, and is ripe to be used for education and community engagement.
For the surrounding community, there is also an economic benefit as heritage preservation contributes to cultural and economic well-being by drawing tourism which helps local businesses and property values.
