This campaign is to build awareness for bumble bee preservation within Calgary and surrounding area and to link this to the plight affecting bees globally. Secondarily, the aim is to increase the brand awareness of Lowen's Natural Skincare and for that of ABC Bees and their urban beekeeping endeavors.

Details

The fruits of the labour of industrious honeybees are vital to Lowen’s Natural Skincare.  We use beeswax in many of our products and want to make sure that our “local” bees are healthy and well taken care of!

In order to do this, we have created this campaign is to build awareness for bumble bee preservation within Calgary and surrounding area and to link this to the plight affecting bees globally. Secondarily, the aim is to increase the brand awareness of Lowen's Natural Skincare and for that of ABC Bees and their urban beekeeping endeavours.

 

This will be done through collaboration with ABC Bees and REAP Calgary through a collaborative project to retail a 'be local' lip balm sourced with 80% local ingredients (specifically with beeswax and honey sourced from urban hives in Calgary) with 25% of the wholesale sales going back to ABC Bees to support their efforts in bumble bee rescue and public educations.  As well, the beeswax and honey purchased for this project also supports the above ABC Bee's activities.
